WRI Congratulates Orange on the Art Galleries funding of $4 Million to Expand
Western Research Institute (WRI) would like to congratulate Orange Regional Gallery on securing $4 Million for an extension to the gallery that is being funded by the NSW State Government under the Regional Cultural Fund.
The Gallery's Director Brad Hammond has said one of the benefits of the extension will be to display more extensive art collections and provide better climate-controlled storage areas allowing the gallery to acquire more works from the local artists. The extension will also include a small theatrette.
WRI is pleased that a Benefit Cost Analysis produced by our experienced team was used by Orange City Council to assist with securing the funding for the expansion.

To view the plans of the extension go to Orange City Councils website https://yoursay.orange.nsw.gov.au/, work is expected to begin in the upcoming months that will include double the size of exhibition and storage space, a new triangular wing and a theatrette, the construction is scheduled to be finished by the end of next year.
