Stronger Country Communities Fund

Round 3 of the Stronger Communities Fund is now open to support vital local infrastructure and programs that improve the quality of life of people living in regional NSW.

The team here at the Western Research Institute are highly skilled in preparing applications for successful funding applications for regional NSW and Australia. Last year the team at WRI assisted regional organisations to secure $112 Million in regional funding across three projects.

James Cook University in Townsville approached our team to provide a complex cost benefit analysis for the infrastructure of the Technology Innovation Complex. This was awarded $96 Million from the Northern Australia Infrastructure Fund (NAIF).

Collaboration between Dubbo Regional Council, Charles Sturt University, Dubbo Police Youth Citizens Club, Penrith Panthers, Tennis NSW and NSW Rugby sought to create a state of the art facility in Western NSW. WRI provided a strong report and helped with securing $9.3 Million the NSW Regional Sports and Infrastructure Fund.

Orange City Council desired to improve the existing tourism infrastructure and offer a diverse tourism facility that creates economic growth for the Orange region tourism market. WRI produced a Business Case for Orange City Council for the development of a self-catering accommodation on the Canobolas Scout Camp that will take advantage of the unique location and rural experience of the site. This resulted in securing $1.3 Million from the Regional Growth Environment and Tourism Fund.

If you are seeking assistance in your application for the Stronger Communities Fund contact our office on 02 6333 4000 or email the team at team@wri.org.au. Applications close Friday 27 September at 5pm.
