Researcher with International Experience Joins Team

WRI would like to introduce to you our newest team member Philip Spiers. Since joining the team he has dived straight in our projects and showed us all his passion in research and helping build stronger communities across our region. Previously in his career Philip worked as a Development Economist on St Helena Island in the Atlantic Ocean and has extensive experience in the health sector where he was involved in Federal reimbursement pricing policy, methodologies and value for money analysis for pharmaceutical products.
Phil joined the team in early May. He has a Masters with Distinction in Social Change and Development (UoN) ,BA (Hons) Economics (Dund UK), Postgraduate certificate of Pharmacoeconomics (MON). Phil also has well developed skills in economic and financial appraisal, policy research and strategy, report and submission writing, data analysis, stakeholder engagement and project management.
Phil has worked in both the private and public sector, in the context of health economics, development economics and policy roles, including working in a remote community. Phil’s broad level of experience and expertise assists WRI to fully understand its client’s needs and provide quality, tailored research, economic analysis and reporting.
